CCC 2083 The First Commandment➜

demands not only belief in God’s existence but the placing of God above every created thing, loving Him with heart, soul and mind. True reverence shows itself in exclusive worship, rejecting idols, wealth, status or occult practices that divert our love. As the Catechism teaches, we must give God first place and serve Him alone. ‍ ‍
