Christian Prayer: Listening to the Word of God

St John Paul II taught that holiness and prayer depend on renewed listening to the word of God. Through Scripture, especially in lectio divina, God truly speaks to us. Prayer becomes dialogue: we speak when we pray, and we hear God when we read the divine word, personally and within the Church.
